- To restore funding to programs such as career and technical education that really make a difference, to address the problem of school safety, to provide a strong foundation for our youngest students and develop innovative programs to help our middle school and high school students succeed in school

- To restore public confidence in our health care system by putting further safeguards in place, to continue to work to lower the cost of health care for everyone and to help small businesses provide health care coverage to their employees
Our Economy
- To take steps to reduce the number of foreclosures in our area, to keep taxes low, to demand more accountability for government spending, to keep our business climate favorable to small businesses
Public Safety
- To strengthen laws to crack down on street crime involving drugs and gangs, to better protect our children and our senior citizens, and to enhance penalties against economic crimes such as ID theft and fraud
Ethics
- To restore the public’s faith in their elected officials by passing meaningful ethics reform legislation
